- Persons who request services will receive individual assistance from a Certified Community Work Incentives Coordinator.
We can assist you to make an Informed Choice about going to work.
If you receive a disability check from the Social Security Administration—call us. We can tell you how work will affect your benefits and how to use Work Incentives to become employed.
You will be helped to:
- Identify your employment goals
- Explore options to achieve goals
- Understand options available
- Make an informed option choice
- Develop a “back to work” plan
- Understand how work incentives can assist your return to work
- Know the effect of work on cash and medical benefits
Follow-up services for recipients:
- Assistance with forms for keeping accurate records for SSA
- On-going monitoring of your “back to work” plan
- Help in making adjustments to plan as needed
- Follow-up services for recipients
- Information about SSA updates regarding work/work incentives
Other Services:
- Provide Information on SSA updates about disability benefits
- Conduct training sessions on use of work incentives
- Assist professionals in the use of work incentives
- Perform outreach to all groups within our area
- Provide Support to agencies and educators to assist them in serving persons with disabilities
