Assistive Technology Spotlight: Weighted Utensils

Set of weighted utensils include fork, soup spoon, tea spoon, and knife. Utensils have large grip, weighted handles.

Weighted Utensils help reduce hand tremors caused by Parkinson’s disease, essential tremors, ataxia, etc. Large, ergonomic non-slip handle. Helps protect against accidental drops/knocks off the table. Dishwasher Safe. Easy to grip for those with arthritis or weak grasp.

  • Handles measure around 1 inch in diameter

They range in price from $12 to around $45+ online depending on the style you choose.

Our Community Assistive Technology (AT) Lending Library gives our community members access to AT devices that they want to see or borrow.  All equipment housed at Independence Now will be sanitized after viewing or borrowing by a consumer. We can also provide device demonstrations in-person or virtually. Consumers can pick up device loans or they could be shipped to their residence.
