Independence Now, a Center for Independent Living, is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in marketing, fundraising, human resources, or legal affairs who are ready to bring their expertise to a mission-driven organization.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Independence Now serves people with disabilities in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, Maryland, offering services and advocacy that empower individuals to lead self-directed, independent lives.
Our Board is made up of dynamic leaders from the disability community, government, and private sector who are deeply committed to advancing independence and equality for all. Board members play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, enhancing visibility, and ensuring financial and organizational sustainability.
