Independence Now proudly celebrated the 7th Anniversary of Lighting Your Path—and what an incredible journey it has been!
One of the highlights of the celebration was an inspiring conversation about how assistive technology is truly lighting the path for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. From innovative devices to life-changing tools, we explored how the AT Program continues to support individuals in gaining access to technology that enhances independence and opportunity.
This celebration was also a moment to honor our core strengths—peer support, advocacy, and meaningful community connections. Together, we reflected on where we’ve been and shared powerful ideas for the future, including getting more active in the community, trying new experiences together, and encouraging everyone to bring a friend along for the journey.
And of course, no celebration is complete without a little sweetness! Great conversations were shared over delicious treats as we embraced our favorite motto: “Life is short, eat dessert first.”
