Independence Now and the members of Lighting Your Path would like to sincerely thank the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington for welcoming us to their newly renovated location! We had an absolute blast exploring the amazing services they offer and getting hands-on experience with so many innovative assistive technology devices and gadgets. From a talking microwave to an incredible variety of magnifiers, to unique CCTV systems, there was so much to learn, experience, and get excited about!
A shout-out goes to Tara Aziz for being such an amazing tour guide and for helping our members sign up for vision screenings and services for new glasses. Your kindness and support truly made the day special!
