A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and joined Independence Now for our Prepared & Empowered: Community Safety Event in Capitol Heights! Your participation helped make our community stronger, safer, and more prepared for whatever comes our way.

From emergency preparedness tips and hands-on demonstrations to resources, CPR/First Aid information, and connecting with local expert our community showed that being prepared is being empowered!

Thank you to our speakers, partners, vendors, staff, volunteers, and everyone who participated. Together, we’re building a community that is prepared, informed, confident, and resilient!
