Consistent Navigation
Consistency is maintained with main navigation menu on the top of each page. The main navigation is accessible from anywhere on a page by clicking a scroll back to top arrow button that appears in the bottom right of every page. The site is completely navigable using a keyboard.
Toggle Font Size
Font sizes can be adjusted on any page using the Toggle Font Size button available on the left side of anywhere on the website.
Color Contrast
Website color scheme was selected to optimize color contrast per Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Contrast can be enhanced using the Toggle High Contrast button available on the left side of anywhere on the website.
Visual Content
All static images and photographs used on the site include descriptive alt text. All videos are embedded from YouTube and include closed captioning.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Independence Now is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.
