Let’s Get Prepared: Youth Employment Readiness Series

Independence Now invites youth with disabilities to join us for Let’s Get Prepared, a two-part interactive employment readiness series designed to help young people build the skills and confidence they need for their future careers.
Part 1: Discover Your Strengths
Saturday, September 26 | 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Participants will explore their interests, strengths, personality, and learning styles while discovering career pathways, learning about employer expectations, and setting meaningful employment goals.
Part 2: Dress to Impress & Interview with Confidence
Saturday, October 24 | 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Learn how to make a great first impression and confidently navigate the interview process. Participants will practice interview and communication skills, participate in mock interviews, learn about professional workplace etiquette, and discuss how to request workplace accommodations.
