National Assistive Technology Awareness Month Celebration

Independence Now is celebrating National Assistive Technology Awareness Month this September to highlight the vital role assistive technology (AT) plays in empowering individuals with disabilities to lead more independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. From screen readers and mobility aids to communication devices and adaptive software, AT helps break down barriers and unlock opportunities in education, employment, and everyday living. AT Awareness Month serves as a reminder to recognize the innovations, advocate for accessibility, and celebrate the impact of inclusive technology on communities across the nation.
As part of our efforts to raise awareness, we will be hosting an in-person Assistive Technology presentation to showcase the benefits of AT and demonstrate how it can support individuals in achieving their goals at home, school, and in the workplace. Join us this September to learn more about the impact of these life-changing technologies and how they contribute to a more inclusive world.
