SAFE SPACE WITH DETECTIVE SERGEANT FORCHION

The combination of disability and skin color (black or brown) amounts nearly three times as likely as white people to be killed by police. To address the problem, join advocates, the community, and the police to promote change and movement to rethink public safety.

DISCUSSION:

  • Drivers with Disabilities Exiting Vehicle During Traffic Stop.
  • How can it be communicated to police during a traffic stop that the driver cannot exit their vehicle in a manner anticipated by police?
  • What actions can police take during routine traffic stops to ensure the safety of all involved?
