  • Saturday, March 28, 2026
  • 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Independence Now – Silver Spring

We’re inviting all youth with disabilities to a special Advocacy Movie Event where we will:

  • Cook and create our own healthy homemade pizzas
  • Connect with peers in a fun and supportive environment
  • Watch the film Tyson’s Run

Have a powerful conversation about self-advocacy, inclusion, and believing in yourself. Tyson’s Run tells the story of a young man with autism who dares to dream big and show the world what determination and heart can accomplish. After the movie, we’ll talk about what advocacy means, how to use our voices, and how we can push past barriers in our own lives.

This event is all about:

  • Confidence
  • Self-Advocacy
  • Community
  • Celebrating Disability and Inclusion

Come hungry, bring your energy, and get ready for an afternoon of inspiration, empowerment, and FUN!

Spots are limited — RSVP today!

Just let Shannon know!
